The Story

The Arizona football community has been a huge part of our lives since our boys were 5 and 7 and we wanted to do something to honor the journey.  Over the years we have been blessed with wonderful friendships and have been privileged to watch so many boys achieve their goals. So, we started to think about how we could give back.  Vince and I both played sports at Howard University (volleyball and baseball) and Howard’s impact on our lives has been an amazing ongoing experience. We decided we wanted to help provide an opportunity for other student-athletes to also have a college experience that will positively impact them for a lifetime and the HBCU football camp seemed like the perfect way to give back.

The goal of the camp is to establish opportunities for coaching mentorships, recruiting pipelines, and overall awareness of what HBCU schools and programs can offer Arizona student-athletes.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged and prayed for us, supported the idea, volunteered their time and resources to the success of the HBCU camp for the kids.  It’s a testament to the hearts of the football community and their care for kids!
